Beginner’s Guide: How to Start Running Without Getting Injured

Posted On: May 30, 2026 | Posted By: Coach    0  0

Starting a running journey is exciting, but doing too much too soon can lead to injuries. The key to successful running is starting slow and building gradually.

Beginners should focus on short distances and comfortable paces. Walking breaks are perfectly fine in the beginning. Proper warm-ups, stretching, and hydration play a crucial role in injury prevention.

Listening to your body is important. Minor soreness is normal, but sharp pain is a sign to rest. Investing in a good pair of running shoes can also make a big difference in comfort and safety.

Run Bharat Club encourages beginners to join group runs where pace leaders guide runners and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience. Running together makes the journey smoother and more motivating.
